FLIR Systems american based company announced the next generation FLIR ONE at MWC 2015.The preceding version of the Flir One thermal imager was for the iPhone only and required a large iPhone case.The NEW version will be compatible with either iOS or Android devices at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES).This advancement will aid us to use cameras with smartphones to do amazing things.
Once attached ,the functional Flir one transforms mobile devices into powerful thermal imagers,which unlock a host of practical applications from home improvement to outdoor adventure.
The Flir thermal imaging device doesn't use the built-in smartphone camera rather it has its own optics for thermal scanning.The results of the scans on the phone's screen in real time is displayed by Flir One app.Rather than reflected light,the image shows people and objects with colors representing relative temperature.Flir one detects invisible heat energy, allowing consumers to see and measure subtle changes in temperature. The next generation FLIR ONE will detects a broad spectrum of temperatures and includes a more advanced spot temperature measurement display along with an auto shutter that eliminates the need to manually reset the thermal sensor when the scene changes.
