Finally after weeks of waiting after the WhatsApp launched an update of voice-calling on all the Android devices, recently WhatsApp people introduced the feature of free voice calling. Now, Apple iPhone users will also have the option of voice-calling,given they update it to the latest version.
WhatsApp generated the update naming it as “WhatsApp calling” in Apple App Store yesterday.
Today they brings an update version of WhatsApp messenger in apple iTunes store that is ‘Version 2.12.1′ which bring free voice calling option and many other smaller updates along with it. Some of the other things fixed with this update are iOS 8 share extension through which people can share anything from other apps, directly to WhatsApp. Then, comes the camera button in chats , editing the contacts right from WhatsApp and besides it, sending multiple videos at once and crop and option to rotate them before sending them to others.
Out of all these features, the coolest one being the ‘WhatsApp Calling’ feature with which now, even iPhone users will be able to make online calls directly to other WhatsApp users from the app which will use either the cellular connection or wi-fi, which so ever available.
But as of now this feature update might have shown up on all the iOS devices but it has not been made available for everyone yet. Besides this ‘big’ messenger update for the calling feature added, WhatsApp tends to roll out this feature to everyone at once through the flipping of the switch on their servers. As the update description notes, that the feature will be rolling out in slowly in the waves over the span of next few weeks for all the users. As for, the Android users, the update will include the same features of internet calling without any further additional charges.
